What cookies and browser storage are

What this site stores

We use browser storage only to remember choices you make about the interface. These entries never leave your device.

• Sidebar state — remembers whether you collapsed or expanded the navigation rail, so the layout is the same next time.
• Theme preference — remembers whether you chose the light or the dark console theme.

There is nothing here that identifies you, and clearing it costs you nothing but those two preferences.

What this site does not store

We do not set advertising cookies, cross-site tracking identifiers or analytics cookies at present. Analytics status: not currently enabled. Advertising status: not currently enabled. If either changes, this page and the consent mechanism will be updated before any new storage is set.

Third-party cookies

We do not embed third-party widgets, social buttons or video players, so no third party sets storage through this site. If you follow a link to a manufacturer or another external site, that site’s own cookie policy applies from the moment you arrive.

You can view, block and delete site storage from your browser settings. The relevant screen is:

• Chrome — Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies, and Site settings for a specific site.
• Firefox — Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
• Safari — Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
• Edge — Settings → Cookies and site permissions.

Blocking storage for this site simply means your sidebar and theme choices are not remembered. Nothing else breaks.

Consent

Because the storage described above is strictly necessary to deliver an interface preference you asked for, it does not require prior consent under the EU ePrivacy rules or the UK equivalent. If we ever introduce non-essential storage, we will ask for consent first and give you a way to withdraw it.
